Transparent shrink foil, also known as Krimpie Dinkie or shrink plastic, is ideal for making fun decorations, such as magnets, buttons and mobiles. How does it work? Use a stamp or permanent marker to make one or more images on the transparent shrink plastic. Colour it in to your taste with permanent markers or coloured pencils. Roughen the transparent shrink foil a bit first when you start using coloured pencils. Make a hole in the workpiece with a hole punch or a punch if the result has to be hung up (for example as a piece of jewellery). Cut it out with (pinched) scissors and place it on baking paper or aluminium foil in a preheated oven (150 degrees Celsius). Bake for about two to three minutes. Let it cool (preferably under a heavy object). The figure is now seven times smaller and thicker.
